Guide Spectra (2021) is a drone piece that explores the harmonic potential of Schumann Resonances, certain frequency bands in the electromagnetic spectrum that allow the atmosphere to act as a wave guide. Analysis of these bands is used to track lightning strikes and high-altitude weather events, as well asses the effects of climate change. Schumann Resonances are also the subject of many conspiracy theories and "New Age" sound-healing practices. for this performance, subwoofers were placed on the floor, allowing the audience to feel vibrations from the subharmonics in the piece.

Anti-Social Behavior (2023) is a work in 3 parts; two text pieces, and one of my fragment scores. The performer is asked to question their own relationship to the sound they're making and the space that they're in, often in violent, aggressive, and destructive ways, eventually finding their way to a "meta-stable" place, where they then move fluidly through electronically stretched fragments of music that was important in my own engagement with those questions.

gone before. (2022) explores the lives and histories of queer people living in the American west in the 19th century, the problems of recording the histories of marginalized people, and the experience of looking back at those incomplete and obfuscated histories. Using news clippings, interviews, diary entries, poetry, letters, and other text fragments, I assembled a “choir” of pasts and ghosts, recorded onto aging and worn cassette tapes and spread through the hall using spatialized audio. Along with the ghosts is a singer, who speaks their own fragments while an accompanist at a "noise keyboard" struggles to take dictation.

Like the End and the Way (2022) for saxophone, live electronics, and dance was created as part of the University of Iowa's 24+24 event, in which composer's are paired with performers and have 24 hours to develop a new work. The saxophone works their way through several drifting, airy fragments, accompanied by electronics that probabilistically freeze, loop, and glitch the incoming sound. The dancers are working off of a text score encouraging them to exchange things they enjoy in the space, before destroying them and building something new together.
